Categories of Information That We Collect
Personal Information. We receive and collect personally identifiable information - such as name, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and postal addresses - from visitors to this Site when they (i) submit inquiries or requests to us, (ii) become registered users of this Site, (iii) sign up to receive newsletters or bulletins from us, or (iv) choose to provide information to us for some other reason. Any personally identifiable information provided will be used by us or our service providers or vendors in connection with providing services for visitors and in order to process any requests or inquiries that they initiate. Our service providers or vendors may not use visitor information for their own marketing purposes. Visitors can choose not to provide their personal information, but that decision may limit our ability to contact them and our ability to provide services to them, or respond to their inquiries. Website Usage Information. For each visitor to this Site, we may collect information concerning the usage of this Site by that visitor, including but not limited to the visitor's Internet domain and/or IP address, information concerning the visitor's browser, and other access-related information using log files. We also may assemble aggregate information (information obtained by compiling information from many different visitors) as to which pages visitors access on this Site. This information is used to analyze this Site's utility, and to enhance the areas and functionality within this Site that appear to be of interest to various users. We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. We use this information in connection with developing, delivering and improving our services.
Client Information. We collect information (such as contact, billing, account, and business data) under the direction of our Clients and this data is used to offer products, fulfill orders, respond to customer service request and administer customer accounts. The use of information collected through our Client service is limited to the purpose of providing that Client service. Visitors who are customer of one of our Clients and would no longer like to be contacted by them, should contact the Client directly.
Supplemental Information. We may obtain personally identifiable and other information about visitors from our subsidiary companies, business partners, vendors or Clients and add it to information that they have previously provided to us in order to serve them better. From time to time, we may compare our contact lists to lists received from our subsidiary companies, third party service providers or Clients to try to avoid sending visitors unwanted, unnecessary or duplicative messages. We may also utilize and incorporate information from other sources to update and supplement information concerning visitors. All such combined, updated, and supplemented information will be handled consistent with this Policy.
Session ID Cookies. We may use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier for a visitor to navigate this Site. A session ID cookie expires when a visitor closes their browser. A persistent cookie remains on a hard drive for an extended period of time. Visitors can remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in their Internet browser's "help" file. We set a persistent cookie to store a visitor's password, so they don't have to enter it more than once. Persistent cookies also enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on this Site. Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs). We and our third party tracking utility company may employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage Site content by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of visitors. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers' personally identifiable information. An example of how a Clear Gif allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns is use in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened. Flash LSOs. We use local shared objects, also known as Flash cookies to display content based upon what visitors view to personalize their visit. Use of Collected Information
Limited Use. The use of information collected through a Site operated for a Client is limited to the purpose of providing the services for the Client. Information provided by visitors will not be sold, transferred, or traded to any third parties for the marketing of third parties' goods or services without the visitor's consent. If we decide to offer visitors the opportunity to "opt-in" for data sharing with third parties, we will only share their data consistent with that visitor's opt-in preferences and visitors may subsequently "opt-out" by seeing "Obtaining Information From Us & Communicating With Us" below.
Third-Parties. In order to operate this Site and provide services, we may provide personally identifiable, aggregate and other information associated to third parties that provide services for us, including services such as payment processing, database management, and professional services. We endeavor to require such third-party service providers to confirm that their privacy practices including onward transfer to sub-processors are consistent with this Policy. On occasion, we may also share personally identifiable and other information concerning a visitor with our affiliates (such as a subsidiary of our company) and Clients in furtherance of our operations and as needed to implement visitor request.
Compliance With Law. We comply with applicable privacy laws for the protection of visitor's information. We will transfer personal and non-personal information when we believe the transfer is necessary to comply with the law, to protect our rights and our safety, or to protect the rights and safety of anyone else. In addition, we may provide personally identifiable information to credit bureaus or collection agencies if we are permitted or required to do so by law.

Rainmaker Systems complies with the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. Industry Standard Practices. Rainmaker Systems follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal and other information covered by this Policy. We have training and policies and procedures in place to address the security of our workplaces and the integrity and protection of electronic records stored in our systems. Rainmaker Systems uses firewalls and Secure Socket Layers to help protect and safely transmit information. When visitors enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on this Site we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). This Site is secured using HTTPS.
Additional Important Information
Third-Party Sites. This Site may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by us. In addition, visitors may have linked to this Site from another website that is not owned or controlled by us. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other such websites, and this Policy applies only to information collected by us in connection with this Site.
Data Retention. We will retain personal data we collect from visitors as well as data we process on behalf of our Customers for as long as needed provide our services to our visitors and Customers. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Change of Control. In the event of a merger or acquisition of our company, the sale of substantially all of its assets related to the operation of this Site, or other change of corporate control, all information concerning visitors would be transferred to or controlled by the successor entity. Such information would remain subject to the principles and guidelines set forth in our Policy.
Please No Children. This Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. In addition, if they are between the ages of 13 and 17, children may use this Site only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Obtaining Information From Us and Communicating With Us. Upon a visitor's request (using any of the contact methods below) concerning their personally identifiable information, we will provide and/or correct or delete such information that we may have in our database collected from www.viewcentral.com in reasonably obtainable form. Rainmaker Systems will respond to your access request within 30 days.
Access to Data Controlled by our Clients. Rainmaker Systems has a direct relationship with some of the individuals whose personal data it processes, but in many cases Rainmaker Systems does not have a direct relationship with individuals whose personal data it processes. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his query to the Rainmaker Systems Client as well as Rainmaker Systems. If the client requests Rainmaker Systems to remove the data, Rainmaker Systems will respond to the Client's access request within 30 business days.
